It’s like a poinsettia shat on my head

Last week it was pointed out to me by several people that my roots were in dire need of being touched up. I’d attempted to do so the weekend prior to Thanksgiving, but in an effort to not smear my scalp with red dye and look like I was bleeding from a massive head trauma, I didn’t get close enough to the roots to actually do any good, and after two or 3 washes I had brown roots again.
Obviously, I was going to have to stop doing the dye the half-assed way and bleach the shit out of my hair and dye it from scratch again.
Which is exactly what I did yesterday afternoon after our trip to Providence Place. While we were in the big Newbury Comics, I managed to get myself a jar of Manic Panic’s “Vampire Red”. After slathering up my bleached head with the red cream, it still looked a bit too warm-toned, and I prefer cooler reds. After looking through the cabinet I found the remaining Punky Colours’s “Red Wine” and added that on top of everything. Then, for added fun, I used up the remains of the jar of Punky Colours in “Pink Flamingo”. The result?
The Sometimes Always “Super Awesome Hot Candy Apple Red”.
